Welcome
Welcome to the Maintained Nursery School part of Eastwood. Play is an important aspect and learning and is delivered through relevant, exciting, memorable first-hand experiences. Children explore a vast range of mathematical concepts over their time with us – 2D and 3D shapes and measure – including height, weight, length and capacity. We develop children’s phonological awareness through a wide range of activities. We sing rhymes and songs and develop children’s knowledge of pattern and rhythm.
Children go out on Forest School outings, plant seeds and flowers and build fires. Our newsletters give valuable information about the learning that has been taking place at Eastwood. We are highly ambitious for our children and know that achievement and wellbeing are completely interdependent.
The Nursery School operates during term time only and provides both part time and full time places for children eligible for 30 hours.
The school day runs from 8.45am to 3.30pm.
